In this post, you will learn how to glue a sole back onto a shoe. There are many reasons why your shoe's sole may detach.

This is often due to the shoe wearing down or just age (especially if it is an old pair of shoes). Whatever the cause may be, repairing your shoe is easy and affordable. One way in which you can do this is by following these steps:

1) Get some glue that we sell at your local hardware store or purchase online
2) Cut out the adhesive for both soles
3) Take glue and adhere one side on top of the other in order to create a bond that will keep them together securely.

4) Let the glue dry and be sure to let it sit overnight so that it can properly harden.
5) Fit the sole into place onto the shoe - you'll know if it sticks right because there will be no movement
6) Congratulate yourself for a job well done

By following these simple steps anyone can fix their sole without having to buy a new pair of shoes. This method also works great on other types of soles including rubber, plastic and wood.

When using this spirit gum I found it best to use with a makeup sponge (not synthetic) since natural fibers tend to grab better than synthetic ones.

I used a rubber stamp to make the bead shape, you could use a knife or something else to mold the bead shape if you'd like too.

If there's some glue left over and it won't get hard enough to use, put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes and then scrape off any excess.

After drying completely unscrape the sole and with sharp nail scissors cut off any excess glue - this may be necessary depending on how thick the shoe is.
Hope this helps someone out there! :)

I have used both this adhesive and super glue in the past but have found that super glue dries clear so if you need to glue something that will be seen often I recommend this instead!
